What's the difference between Muay Thai, kickboxing, and karate?

Muay Thai (the 'art of eight limbs') uses punches, kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch fighting. Kickboxing typically uses punches and kicks only. Karate is rooted in traditional Japanese striking with stances and kata. MUV teaches a hybrid striking curriculum so students get the discipline of karate, the cardio and footwork of kickboxing, and the full-range striking and clinch work of Muay Thai.
What ages can start Muay Thai training at MUV?

We start athletes as young as 4 years old in Mighty MUVers with foundational Muay Thai mechanics — stance, balance, and basic strikes. MUV Prime (ages 8–12) introduces more advanced striking combinations. MUV Warriors (ages 13+) is full-contact-capable Muay Thai for teens and adults who want serious striking skill and conditioning.
Do I need experience to start?

No experience required. Most of our Muay Thai students walked in having never thrown a punch. Our curriculum is built to take complete beginners and turn them into confident, technical strikers in a structured, progressive way.
